Recipe: Chocolate Rice Pudding
Ingredients
| Milk Thickened cream Castor sugar Orange zest Vanilla pod Short grain rice Corn flour Milk Chocolate, grated |
440ml 140ml 350g ¼ of an orange 1 25g 16g 16ml 8g |
Method
• Combine in a saucepan milk (440ml ), cream, sugar, orange zest, vanilla pod and rice. Bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer and cook until rice is tender and it is thick enough so that it can coat the back of a wooden spoon.
• Mix together corn flour and milk (16ml), add to saucepan and cook low heat for 3-5 minutes until corn flour has cooked through and mixture has a nice thick consistency
• Turn off heat & remove vanilla pod
• Serve in a bowl and sprinkle on grated chocolate
• Pudding can be served either hot or cold
